If you or your organization are a victim of fraud, please contact us here.
1 / Demonstrate Financial Need
You must demonstrate financial need. Our services are pro-bono for community members that are unable to afford the cost of a forensic accountant.
2 / Cooperation
Victim and witness cooperation is essential to investigating the case. This requires that the crime:
-
Occurred in the United States
-
Was reported to the local police agency
-
Loss was reported to financial institutions that hold affected accounts
-
Impacted a small business (less than $2m in annual revenues), a nonprofit, or a vulnerable individual
3 / Overview of the Crime
We request a description of the crime and the surrounding events, written in your own words. Please also describe the information you have gathered and the steps you have taken to confirm that fraud has occurred and that you have incurred a financial loss.
4 / Next Steps
After we receive your report, we will refer your case to the Education Affiliate nearest the location of the crime. Each Education Affiliate contacts victims directly.
We know this is difficult.
